Name: Junior Nickname: JuJu, Junes Age: Approx 3yo | Weight 10lbs Body Type: Lean Dogs: Yes(Required) | Cats: Dogs Savvy | Kids: No, Thank You Current Location: Maple Ridge Status: Available My Story: I've been in care with LEASH for over one year now. It took me months to come out of my shell and open up. Even now I am still nervous and rely on having another dog in the home to show me that things arenât so scary. I am a timid little guy but over time as I learn to trust you, I really come alive. I love to play, roll and suntan! A yard to romp in is appreciated as the outside world can be a little overwhelming to me at times. I have hiked and explored trails so I do have it in me to be an adventurer, I just need time to build up my confidence in a home before venturing out. I'm very sweet and easy going, I donât demand a lot from you other than patience and love. Ideal Date: Hanging in the back yard where my lil buddy and I can romp and you can read the paper. Perfect Match: An older home that is patient, loving and understanding. I'm not interested in having children in my life as frankly theyâre just too much energy and unpredictable. Fun Quirk: I snore! Guilty Pleasure: Sun Tanning, I love to lay out in the sun! 5 Year Plan: To have done some work on myself and found my inner confidence. I know I have it in me to be a super confident, outgoing guy its just going to take some time and I am hoping to find a family that wants to help me with that. Name: Django Nickname: Big D The Basics: Age: Approx 6yrs | Weight: Approx 60lbs Dogs: Yes | Cats: No | Kids: Older Current Location: Vancouver Status: Available My Story: Iâll cut right to the chase.. this is my second time in rescue. First time I was about 2years old when I landed at the SPCA, I was adopted by a family and life changed, they didnât have the time to commit to me anymore so close to 4 years later here I am...again. Everyone tells me what a good boy I am and you know what? Iâm starting to believe them. Iâm a distinguished older gent with a grey muzzle that all the girls fawn over, I love going for walks and since being in rescue have really trimmed up! I havenât looked this good in years! And I feel good! I like to play and I love to snuggle. Iâm a real gentle giant and have come out of my shell while being in care. My fosters love me a lot, so itâs going to take someone really special to meet their approval- but I know youâre out there. Perfect Match: A family, or a couple or a single. I would love to be someoneâs best friend and have them be as excited to see me at the end of the day as I am to see them. First Date: At first I may be a little unsure as I have been moved around a lot in my life and I am a sensitive soul. If you have a yard, maybe we can hang out in it and toss the ball around a bit. Have some snacks, and get to know each other. Our second date, will be much more exciting! Fun Quirk: I like to play dress up. My fosters put me in all sorts of stuff.. and frankly, I like it! Guilty Pleasure: Squirrels! When I see them at the park I canât contain myself. Squealing, whining, anything I can do to get to them! 5Year Plan: To have a person or family to call my own. I will be a senior gent by then and want nothing more than to have someone I can follow around the house and cuddle with on the couch. That, and destroy every squeaky toy in Vancouver! I have a special talent for that ? If you think youâre the peanut butter to Djangoâs jam please fill out an online application at leashsavinglives.com/adoption-application We also strongly encourage you to take a read through our FAQs to ensure you qualify for adoption with LEASH. Name: Luna Nickname: Monkey, Miss, Lunatic Age: Approx 2.5yo | Weight 14lbs Body Type: Lean/agile Dogs: Yes,The right one | Cats: No | Kids: Dog Savvy Older Ones Current Location: Delta Status: Available My Story: Well, some of you may think I look familiar, and that is because I was in care with LEASH in 2016. I started my 2nd chapter with a really nice couple that loved me dearly, but sadly changes made them unable to provide me with the life I needed. So I packed up all my stuff, lots of it, and have returned to care with LEASH. This time, Iâm really looking for forever. Iâve set up temp shop with a cool family and their dog. I enjoy the dogs company but I have to be honest, Iâve got a bit of a jealous streak and would be quite content in a home ready to keep up with me!. I know someoneâs going to ask so Iâll just come right out and explain: I have some patchy parts on my face as the result of something that happened when I was a pup before rescue- theyâre scars and scars are like tattoos but with better stories. Maybe Iâll share that story with you one day. Ideal Date: Fast forward to us really knowing each other! Letâs head to the park- go for a walk, smell all the things, and chase all the things! Then letâs grab some snacks and snuggle on the bed and binge watching Stranger Thingsâ. Perfect Match: A mature, active home on the beach. You asked for perfect- in a perfect world I live on the beach (I LOVE the beach) Fun Quirk: You will never wonder again.. Never wonder when the mail has arrived, when company has showed up, when dogs are on TV. Iâve got you covered. Guilty Pleasure: Socks and underwear. No judgments please we all have our quirks. 5 Year Plan: To do some self work. Learn some new tricks, sort out my trust issues, build some confidence and keep working on my fitness. If you think youâre the Sun to Lunaâs Moon, please fill out an application at leashsavinglives.com/adoption-application We strongly encourage you to read through the FAQS to ensure you qualify for adoption with LEASH as this can often be the difference between getting a reply and not. leashsavinglives.com/FAQ
Name: Rosie Nickname: Ro, Rosebud, BabyGirl Age: 3-4 Months | Weight: Approx 15lbs Dogs: Yes | Cats: Dog Savvy | Kids: Older Body Type: Athletic Current Location: Maple Ridge Status: Available My Story: I originally came from Manitoba where the good folks at Save A Dog Network Canada took me into care when I needed some help. Shortly there after I was boarding a flight to Vancouver where I was told I would be looking for a home! And well.. that time has come! Iâm a super sweet little girl with a huge personality. Some may even call me feisty! I want what I want when I want it! I love to play with my friends and snuggle with my people when Iâve had enough! Iâm really smart and catch on fast. I would love a home interested in doing some sports- frisbee anyone?. Iâm not entirely sure what Iâm mixed with but I have a little underbite and super cute pout which leads people to think there may be some PitBull in me! I had some alopecia around my eyes but my fave Dr at the vet fixed me right up and Iâm on the mend! Perfect Match: Iâm a pup! Full of action with a dash of stubborn and lots of cute! So Iâm looking for a home ready and able to keep up with me! Im likely to be 50-75lbs full grown and will want to hike, bike and swim! First Date: Iâm young and fun! The sun is making an appearance so letâs hit Rocky Point for some doggie ice cream then chase some ducks, smell some rocks and get super muddy! Fun Quirk: There is a frenchie at daycare that Iâm terrified of? Guilty Pleasure: Food. I LOVE Food. #FoodieForLife 5year Plan: By then Iâll be over 5years old! I hope to have a home that adores me, and looks forward to coming every day to see me. People that want to head out on the trails and go on weekend adventures. Nickname: Kevvy, Mister Age: 3/4 months | Weight: Approx 12lbs Dogs: Yes | Cats: Yes | Kids: Older Body Type: Lean - Iâm growing Current Location: Port Coquitlam Status: Available My Story; First and foremost Iâm a survivor. I was found in the snow under a tree stump where I was covered in my own feces. Luckily, some teachers passing on their way to work saw my head.. they came to my aid chipping me out from the snow and ice that had formed around me. They warmed me up and got in touch with @Saveadognetworkcanada in Winnipeg where I officially became rescued. Never in a million years did I think I would be a traveling dog...yet here I am in VanCity where I plan to set up shop! I like it here! I spend my days at daycare where I play with other puppies, I get a little nervous with the bigger dogs and donât like chase yet. I bond really fast to my people, and would like to have another dog in the home for company. Perfect Match: An experienced home that loves the outdoors. While Iâm still a puppy and admittedly a bit of a baby I do like to explore and hope that as an adult that is exactly what Iâll be out doing! I didnât move here for nothing! I could have gone East! First Date: You, me, a blanket, bottle of water and bag of pupperoni. Letâs watch the sun go down while you tell me the story of the first time you saw my picture. Fun Quirk: Singing. I love to sing the song of my people. 5Year Plan: I want to be the spokes-dog for rescue. The dog that no one wanted to the dog living the dream. Lounging in my backyard while you bbq, listening to the birds chirp and just knowing that Iâm loved. Name: Shiloh Nickname: Shy, Pretty Girl The Basics: Age: Approx 1.5Years | Weight: 50lbs Breed: Husky Mix Dogs: Yes | Cats: Yes | Kids: Older (No tail-pullers please) Current Location: Langley Status: Available My Story: I spent the first part of my life tied up to a porch and starved. In that short time I also managed to end up pregnant and have a litter of puppies. Luckily for me, some people got me to the NWTSPCA and in turn they got me here to LEASH. In less than a year I've experienced more than some do in a lifetime.. and you know what? I'm still a happy, sweet girl that loves people. Currently, my favourite thing to do is hang out at the river and swim. I love jumping in or just wading on the side! Running and hiking is another thing I feel like I would excel at, maybe not in 30* degree weather but in the fall/winter months. I would love to go for a hike in the snow, snow shoeing anyone?. I'm alright alone for short periods but do suffer with some separation anxiety. This is something I will figure out with time and training. Overall, I'm an amazing girl looking for an equally amazing family! First Date: 2 Words: Buntzen Lake. Perfect Match: An active couple that loves the great outdoors and getting dirty rain or shine! For real.. I need this and if youâre not committed to this please move along. Fun Quirk: I may or may not dig up your plants if you leave me alone for too long.
