Name: Huey Nickname: Huey Louis Current Location: Vancouver The Basics: Age: Approx 1 Year | 35lbs Breed: Staffordshire Terrier Mix Body Type: Petite and Athletic Dogs: Not at this time | Cats: No | Kids: Preferably Not **Please note that Huey requires an experienced home** My Story Where do I start? I'm a sweet little man that loves and adores his people. I'm full of love and snuggles and adventure! I love getting out and exploring my surroundings in a safe and controlled way. I am not a dog park day. Some say I have small man syndrome, I say Im just a little fearful of new things. And often like things a little too much. Ive been working hard with Dogsmart Training Systems - Vancouver every Sunday on overcoming these issues! Technically Ive finished my classes but Dogsmart is so impressed with my progress and committed to seeing me find the perfect home that they have welcomed me back ongoing every Sunday till adoption. Im petite at about 35lbs but dont let me size fool you, I have a huge heart. At this time, I'm hoping to find a home where I can be the only pet so that I can get the attention that I deserve and work on being the best boy that I can be. LEASH has also decided they will also be providing some training with DogSmart to my new family to ensure we are off to a strong start! Its all about those Fido Fundamentals! So, if you're looking for love in a pint sized pitty body.. I'm your guy! Guilty Pleasure: Treats! I will do all sorts of tricks for treats! (My foster mama taught me good) Fun Quirk: I'm Pint Sized! Like a big dog in a petite body! Ideal Date: Sundays are my faves! Group class and lots of treats at training. Grab some lunch, a short walk to smell the air and the you, me and the patio.. You: reading a book (or playing on your phone), Me: Laying by your feet. Perfect Match: A home interested in seeing me grow into the best boy that I can be! Everyone says I'm so smart and sweet. Im looking for people committed to training and to me. Future Plans: I've been lost for so long that I just want to be found. I want somewhere to call home and someone to call mine. Name: Junior Nickname: JuJu, Junes Age: Approx 3yo | Weight 10lbs Body Type: Lean Dogs: Yes(Required) | Cats: Dogs Savvy | Kids: No, Thank You Current Location: Maple Ridge Status: Available
Name: Cooper Nickname: Cooper the Trooper, Bubs, Coops Age: 16 months old Breed: Beagle Mix : Weight: 32-35lbs Dogs: Yes | Kids: No | Cats: No Current Location: Surrey Status: Available to a specific kind of home. My Story: Well hello there! My name is Cooper, and I've been in care with the friendly folks at LEASH for over 6 months. Now that I've learned that not all people are going to hurt me, they've told me it's time to start looking for my forever home, so here I am! I'm putting myself out there in hopes that someone will see my profile, and swipe right. Paws crossed! Perfect Match: I'm looking for a home that will help me continue to learn how to trust humans. Sometimes people scare me a bit but once I know that you're safe I love to show my affection by cuddling up next to you. My foster family says I'm a great combo since I love to get outside and be active, but then I also like to play with my toys independently and relax at home. In case you're not familiar with Beagles, let me fill you in: in typical Beagle fashion, I am happiest when I'm working. I'm an active boy, and love to go on long walks and hikes where I get to follow scents. If I smell rabbits, I'll let you know by singing the song of my people. My foster mom takes me to scent work class with my foster sister Tessie once a week, where I get to practice "hunting" for treats - it's a blast! I'd love it if my forever family would let me continue with the classes or even consider letting me compete when I'm advanced enough. If we can't do that, will you play hide & seek around the house with me? The folks at LEASH say that I need a home without any young children - while I like most of the ones I have met, I'm sometimes unsure of quick movement and get scared that I might get hurt again. An adult-only home would suit me perfectly! I LOVE other dogs and would be SO happy if I could have a permanent playmate, but it's not a necessity as long as you promise to let me have regular playtime with my friends. In order to help me continue to learn to trust people, the folks at LEASH say that an experienced home that is willing to participate in a few obedience classes is a must. Don't worry, I know all of my manners this is just to help us bond and for me to become even more confident. Ideal Date: Ooohhh the possibilities! After breakfast, let's go for a long walk in a new area - I love finding new scents to follow. Once we've done that, I'll probably need a little nap. Can we go again in the afternoon, please? I love it when my foster mom lets me "hunt" for my dinner in the backyard by scattering my kibble in the grass - so fun to have to work to find it instead of having it served in a bowl! In the evening, I'd love to rest against you and chew on one of my toys while we watch a movie. Lights out by 11 - I need my beauty sleep! Fun Quirk: I like to sing the song of my people when I hear sirens, or see big trucks. Guilty Pleasure: If we're on a walk and I find something tasty on the ground, I love to sample it. Yummy. 5 Year Plan: My dream is to have a family who loves me for me, and who will help me become my best self. Is that you? If so, I'd love to meet you. In all seriousness: Cooper came to us with some baggage from an abusive past when he was very young. He has been in rehab while he's worked with multiple trainers, and learned that not all humans are bad. He has an incredible capacity to love, and has grown leaps and bounds while he's been in care. However, that being said, we are looking for an experienced, patient home that will give Cooper the stability he needs. Cooper is an incredible dog and will make someone very happy - he is adored by everyone that meets him and is a true testament to resiliency. Interested in meeting Cooper?
